Alaska Airlines is a leader in air travel within Alaska and internationally; and a leading airline known for its cheap airfares. This is despite its relatively small size. Alaska Airlines has a friendlier and more courteous face than other competing airlines. Why? First, this is a small airline that has succeeded in attracting a large following among its passengers by the number of cheap airfares and huge discounts it offers its new and long term customers. Secondly, Alaska Airlines has been serious in streamlining the ticketing and check-in processes, giving its employees the opportunity to deal more with passengers who are generally less stressed than its competitors' customers and are the driving force behind the airline’s existence.
Alaska Air is the tenth largest commercial airline in the United States with hubs in Seattle, Portland and Anchorage. From these hubs, the airline makes 911 daily flights to 62 cities in the United States as well as Mexico, Canada and Russia. About a total of ten international destinations are flown to and from, by Alaska Airline. It operates punctual flights only, and is quick to help passengers who are late and miss their flight. With on time flights, helpful customer service and breakfast served on two-hour flights, it is not at all difficult to book a dirt cheap airfare with Alaska Airline when traveling within and outside North America. Alaska Airlines has conveniently located several automated check-in terminals for use by passengers who do not have much baggage to check-in. Waiting queues have now been reduced to the barest minimum. It takes just about two minutes to get a boarding pass from these terminals and is even quicker when you become very familiar with it. In conjunction with the airline's electronic ticketing system, this technology can reduce up to 30 minutes - or even more in some cases - from the check-in process. Alaska airline allows one carry-on bag and one personal item such as a purse, diaper bag or laptop. Up to two pieces of checked baggage are allowed free of charge as part of the cheap airfare offer. Alaska Airlines has generally offered the lowest airfares for several destinations. Rarely have Alaska Airlines' airfares been substantially higher than their competitors' air fares. Perhaps in light of recent problems the airline has faced with the airline’s maintenance and other concerns, this airline has gone a bit too far to keep its air fares very cheap and as low as possible. There is so much flexibility with Alaska Airlines. Due to the frequency of its flights, Alaska Airlines can always afford to offer its air tickets for dirt cheap prices. Alaska Airline has passengers seated in the economy cabin on flights which are not transcontinental, but with durations longer than 3 hours, offered a hot sandwich during mealtimes. Northern Bites is the customized meals-for-purchase service available on flights to and from most Mexico destinations. On these flights, in addition to a beverage service, you may purchase a meal for $5.
