Most Asian Airlines have Singapore as one of the destinations on their flight schedules and provide very cheap airfares to the small Island-country. This is because Singapore is a great vacation or stopover destination. The country is a great place to stopover on your way to and from any particular destination in Asia especially with its world renowned airport – Changi International Airport. It's one of the best places in the world to shop, and you can enjoy good food and accommodation.
Planning a journey to Singapore starts with the numerous cheap vacation packages and discounts given on airfares by most Asian airlines that you may have a hard time trying to choose. Singapore has taken the best bits of countries all over the world put together to form a country without flaws, at least to many tourists. One of the famous tourist hotspots is Sentosa. This is Singapore's island resort, complete with white sandy beaches, bars & restaurants, an Aquarium and cable cars. Traveling here for a day really is like leaving Singapore and going to a completely different planet. Palm trees and wooden huts lie along the beach; a beach that comes close to again being one of the most aesthetically beautiful beaches ever. Asian Airlines often feature this breath-taking resort as part of their vacation packages to Singapore while making their airfares really cheap to attract vacationers. The Aquarium is another nice to visit within Sentosa itself. It's reasonably priced too with the all-inclusive, cheap ticket to Sentosa. Transport by bus around the island is extremely efficient however, and runs frequently. You will be glad to hear it is free. Sentosa is worth a visit if you are in Singapore for a day and have done all the shopping you could ever dream of! Asian Airlines will fly you with cheap airfares even if just to see Singapore’s Zoo that is famously themed by continent which tourists travel through in turn. The animals are free to roam. Few are behind fences or borders so you can be within an arm's length of a deer, and a little too close to a hyena for comfort. The areas where the animals tend to cluster are lit up. Getting around most of Singapore is extremely easy with the MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) transport system. It runs like absolute clockwork - one pulls in every three or four minutes, and computerized displays will let you know when the next train is due to arrive. The stations are like business buildings and they do the job of getting passengers around the city-state for dirt cheap fares. It’s a great transport system. Taxis are also readily available aw well and not too expensive either.
Bugis Metro Station and Bugis Junction have an international reputation for good food, a couple more shopping malls, and the Intercontinental Hotel. The Bugis area does have some nice places to have breakfast, lots of coffee shops, and quite a few informal outdoor eateries on North Bridge Road serving traditional Chinese and Thai foods. The quality of food in Singapore is generally high. You can expect to eat well, and needless to say, have fun too.
“Shop till you drop in Singapore,” is a common cliché among visitors and tourists in Singapore. Visitors rush for Asian Airlines’ cheap air tickets to Singapore just to shop their delights. Most ladies will be in Heaven with the number of clothes shops in Singapore, most men with the electronics shops. One of the famous electronics complexes - Sim Lim Square – is a building with multiple floors of new and fairly used electronics shops. They really do have everything and you can be sure to find the best bargains there. Orchard Road is the one the ladies love and it certainly isn't the only place to shop in Singapore. In fact, almost everywhere has a shopping mall in the city. Getting off the MRT anywhere close Orchard Road at all will probably mean you will end up outside a giant shopping mall. Clothes aren't that expensive either. In Singapore that is known as “the gateway to Asia,” there are so many fun activities to engage in, and best of all with Asian Airlines’ cheap airfares, you can be at Changi International Airport in a jiffy.
